Having lived in Miami for years (no longer there), I was shocked at the choice of venue for the Miami NAC. You are right, the worst ever -- not only in the middle of nowhere...the hotels they picked were so far! I felt that nobody who went got an idea of what Miami has to offer. Summer Nationals will be a totally different experience, I think. It will feel like another city (although be ready for incredible heat and humidity). -

however, a simple PM would have done nicely.
in any case, I removed the misinformation. it's not a fashion statement.

Texas in December, January and February is probably good for a lot of people. It's in the middle and not in the snow.
Nowhere is perfect for everyone.
As for Miami, the NAC in Miami was the worst but I have heard that this venue location is much better. Considering you gave me the link for a direct flight to Columbus....
It would be nice to go to places like Denver in the summer or spring, and California in the winter fall. Go to the well until the well is dry. When the well is dry find a new well. -

Array Was there an official photographer? Was anybody taking pics? I was too nervous during the event - I did take the podium pics but we didn't bring the video camera (as we didn't think we would need it-silly us!) so if there are any cool action pics I would love to know about them. -

in any case, I removed the misinformation. time between my corrective post and your response: over 2 days.
do you really think that the community as a whole would be better served if for that two days your incorrect post remained in place alone rather than being publicly corrected?

I fence for the Mteam. Yes, the normal front-runners are Nobuo and Alexander. Nobuo, however, lost to Leland, and Leland presumably lost to Brian. All five of the finalists do work very hard (and Alexander actually got Div I points in Tucson, which he was only allowed to fence in because he had gotten Junior points at JOs, which he was only allowed to fence in because he had gotten Cadet points at Nationals, which he was only allowed to fence in because he was near the top of the Y14 standings before that), and Leland and Brian in particular are to be congratulated on their performance. I suspect that Nobuo is going through a period where he will get a little worse and then a lot better, and viewed from that point of view 5th is pretty good.
By the way, fix your spelling and grammar. It makes it take significantly more work to read your posts, and many people probably get annoyed and just don't respond to you for that reason. -
