They let that pass? I'm astonished. I'd have thought that any vanity plate containing the string "SUX" would raise a flag.

If only my right of way ratings were high enough to let me get away with that.

You can go make images of other VA plates at: https://www.dmv.state.va.us/dmvnet/p...lect_plate.asp

    Enjoy.

    What a waste of money.
The pen may be mightier than the sword, but why pick just one?

Actually, I'm pretty sure the annual registration fee is higher for vanity plates. You get to pay extra every year that you have the plate on your car.

You're right, there's a nominal fee of $10 per year to have vanity plates. A small price to pay for immortality.

Add to this the cost of replacing new tires and bodywork from destructive epee fencers that see your license plate at tournaments...

$0, they'd have to be able to read to be offended.

Besides, the ones with a basic comprehension of phonics would just stand there, bouncing, waiting to counterattack. When the car didn't move, they wouldn't know what to do.

The biggest problem is that most of us epee fencers in Virginia spell the word as "sucks." We'd all be waiting around to find out what word the poor foilist misspelled. Perhaps sex? Or sax? Who knows with these poor blighted bast@&#37$

Oh no - I'm not going to get my parry ripostes called now! Wait, it's epee...

    Concur on both accounts.

One thing I'm still toying with: Trying to get the following on a plate:

    4 Q

Don't know if they'd allow that, but I might just try one of these days...

I laughed out loud. But if the car didn't do anything after the first two periods, I would try a fleche and then just let the rest of the time run out.

Gee Ian, I was looking forward on congratulating you on your wedding the next time I saw you. Now instead, after the next time I see you I will have to pass on my condolences to your widow...
