I just read more about Katrina and the connection between the Bush adminstration with the disaster. Here it is: Jeb Bush, his brother has financial investments in the pump manufacturing company that sold defective water pumps to New Orleans Parish and when the defects were detected, they refused to fix anything insisting that the pumps would be okay by the time hurrican season rolled around.

I heard some talk about this while I was in Orleans, some yaking about the pumps not working 'well' but I never thought sheer laziness would be the crux of the matter and the reason why New Orleans went under water.
