The scary truth is that the 10's of thousands of fencers in the US and the probably 100's of thousands worldwide, could actually overthrow most of the governments out there if they worked together...

Why does everyone's math suck so much? You don't leave anything out of an equation...
It should be this: Sabre > foil > epee
Omly in the size of your letter,s and breadth of your misguided imaginination.
Leaving zeroes out of an equation is a simple way to simplify said equation.

Which means that you agree with my equation and that also means that this is true: 0 [sabre] > -real number [foil] > -real number [epee]. So you're trying to say that both foil and epee don't even get to be rated in positive numbers? Sounds good with me!
