I'm something of a contradiction here. I'm a firm believer in organized religion. I believe there's a place for rites, tradition, and values in today's society, and that such things should be treasured more than ever. But I believe religion to be different from personal faith, and that the latter, your own personal relationship with God, is more important than what anyone else would tell you. As Nolano stated above, this is something you need to find on your own.

I'm not. I attend church and probably will, simply because I think it's a good environment to be in, but not because I believe it.

I agree. In theory. In practice, especially with values, I don't think you come out ahead for subscribing to an organized religion. Most studies I've seen don't seem to say so, either.

Meh, that depends on what values your religion portends to, well, value, and if the practices support that. I would love to see these studies you mention, though.

Ditto, also I think it really depends on the reasons that a person is participating in the religion. Many people 'say' they are apart of a religion but aren't. However the people that are active and true to their religion I think do have better and stronger values than others.

I guess really, I only have prison population by religion. however, atheists are the most underrepresented minority, with the estimated population being between 8-16%, while making up only 0.2% of the population of prisons.

I agree that people who are truly part of a religion will often have strong values, but I don't think you can say stronger than others. And anyways, who's values? better in what way? You may have different values which you personally see as stronger, but that's not the same thing.

No, because I would figure the second was yanking my chain. (not that I have a chain to be yanked, but --- oh, never mind.)

I am almost sorry I missed the discussion on religion. I may be confused, but I have a strong mindset on my confusion. -^_^ <-- almost out of whiskers.

    I am mad.

I've had the same schedule for work for a year now. A year. And somehow my mom comes home and leaves without me so I have to get my dad to come from work on the other side of town to get me and be late.

I kind of figured you for more of the breakfast burrito type. Not that there isn't something to be said for a good taco.

    Speaking of tacos... lunch time!
