A guy sat on my porch for 45 minutes today, waiting for me to answer the door. I didn't feel like getting up and opening it, so I thought he'd eventually get up and go away. But no, he kept knocking and ringing the bell... for 45 minutes. At that point it started to get kind of irritating. Turns out he just wanted to hang out with me. So I said I was busy. He appeared to understand, and he finally left. Looking out my window half an hour later, I spotted him sitting directly across the road, not really doing anything. Okay, I thought. That's a little bizarre. Soon afterwards he was at the door again. Once more, I said I was busy, hoping he would take the hint and go away and leave me alone. That's all fine and good... until he came a THIRD time. At that point I'd become irritated at his perseverence, so I out and out told him to go the hell home. Sucker. If he comes back tomorrow I won't be very pleased with him.
