How can it be Pesach already? My MIL just emailed me asking if I would be coming down to the apartment to help prepare again. I honestly thought about slamming my hand in a door last year - it would have been less painful - with the bonus prize of getting to leave the apartment to go to the emergency room to get an x-ray.

Pesach = Passover. Cleaning out the kitchen, switching over the dishes to the passover stuff and packing the regular kitchen, removing all the non-passover food, preparing for the Seder on the first two nights. It is horrific and basically has to be done in about a 24-hour timeframe.

I'm guessing you don't know many obsevant Jews.
