| I've had hair from over my mouth to almost bare scalp. Actually, I've had both on the same day.

For me, engineering/desinging part is "easy," 90% of my time is spended dealing with stupid Owners and Project Managers.

| The trip went well, thank you. My son and his grandmother had a terrific time together. I'm not in jail. All good.
The weather was lovely, it was nice to really enjoy being outside, playing, eating etc. in just really comfortable temperatures.
You will absolutely see me tomorrow. I am looking forward to practice.
How are you doing today? What is new on the project?

The cost to do something like that at this late into the game is huge (mostly time and specially my time), yet his reason is to save his company money. I wonder if he is brain dead.
Just like the other guy that cost their company at least $14k in engineering fee, $30k in construction labor, and wasted 3 days of my life in the name of saving $8k (another time, it costed them about total $20k over a small $4k issue). The biggest thing that I don't get is why do they bother with such small items!? The cost project is more than $50million, one month of interest alone will cover all of that and more!!
What couldn't they just leave it to us professionals?

I've had clients who demanded a full legal analysis at a cost of thousands of dollars of legal fees in order to determine whether to pay a $500 renewal charge.
*sigh* Clients and their need to feel involved or in control of the project. |
