    The great thing about this tournament is that somebody new will be getting a D in foil and Epee. The two best fencers in the division are gone for this one, and we want to get 4 Ds in our division so we can actually have a C2 tournament one of these days and hand out some Cs.

    I had a tournament this past weekend. I took second in the 18-person foil event and second in the five-person sabre event. My instructor tried to tell me two silvers equal a gold, but I don't buy that for a minute.

    I will be fencing epee and sabre in the Remenyik this Sunday. Foil is on Saturday and I cannot be there for that. Last I checked, the field for sabre didn't look too bad. Epee is chock full o' A's and B's - it will be interesting to see how well I do (or if I get destroyed utterly). I'm mostly going to have fun and I tend to do better when I am just having fun.

    I'll have to get up at something like 5am, though. 5am on a Sunday is perfectly acceptable if you haven't been to bed. Waking up at that time on a Sunday is not preferable, but I guess it will be worth it for fencing. :
    My fencing philosophy = quantity over quality. Eliminate the rest periods! Fence all three weapons! 15 touches for Vet DE's!
