Uhlmann World Cup Vs. Olympia(or Negrini) For Epee?

My coach will be starting me on epee soon. I have been using my Uhlmann non-FIE jacket for foil, and am planning on ordering either the Olympia or the World Cup jacket and knickers. Having searched the forums and read the reviews it appears many epeeists prefer the thicker World Cup jacket for its enhanced protection from bruises. However, the World Cup knickers have a seam on the legs which apparently can catch a tip?

Is the World Cup designed for Epee/Saber? and would it be better suited to epee than the Olympia or the Negrini kit, for that matter?
