Array Veteran Fencing As a New Veteran fencer, I am trying to figure out where I am allowed to compete. I understand if the tournament is listed as open it is OK but what about division, seniors, etc... how do I know if the competition is open to me? -
Everything is open to you except Juniors and younger, and rating-restricted events where you don't have the correct rating. -

Array When I first started, my young daughter had been competing for a while, so I thought perhaps most competitions were restricted to young people. Not so.
As eac says, an adult (whether Veteran or not) can enter any competition that is not age-restricted or for which you don't have the required classification--that is, you can't enter Junior competitions or Division I, but you can do opens and Division II or Division III NACs.
As for Veteran competition, if you are over 40 you can compete in the veteran combined events at NACs. If you are older than that, depending on your age, you can compete in the 50-59 events or the 60+ events at NACs. Similar Threads -
