Looking for fencing lessons in Baton Rouge, LA

    Hi everyone!
I am trying to find a beginners' fencing class in Baton Rouge, and so far it is harder than expected. There is a BR fencing club, but no classes for beginners until Fall Other than that - close to high vacuum; nothing at LSU (at least officially) or anywhere that I've looked. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Heh... See what I mean? Nothing, fencing seem to almost have vanished here for some weird reason. Oh well, guess I'll just pick up baseball instead. Sad story

    NOOOOOOOOOOO!!

I'm sorry, I don't know lousiana at all, but check local YMCAs and that sort of thing; many have introductory fencing classes.

drop an email to the CCO organizers. they're in NO, and i figure that they'll know the most about fencing in the area.

You could also just ask me, as I'm the assistant coach at the Baton Rouge club. We may be able to give you enough private lessons so that you can catch up with our current beginner's class.

    Sorry for the delay.

    Thanks!

    Thank you, everyone!
Great advice - I new help would come if I did enough crying. Or maybe it was the baseball threat
Chafunkta: thanks, I got your PM. I'll try to come by tomorrow! How long have your beginners been studying? Also, I am 37 - that isn't too old, is it?
The thing is, I heard this voice in my head a while ago: why don't you start fencing? Other voices did not object, so here I am... Again - thanks, people!

Well, like parents seem to teach their kids these days... if things don't go your way, just whine and moan and make threats until they do!

Nope, not too old at all. I know people (some are on this forum) that started when they were 50+.

No problem, sorry we didn't help sooner!
