Canadian Tax Credit for Sports

I just wanted to post this for the Canadian parents and coaches. In the 2007 tax year, it appears that you will be able to get a tax credit for money spent on your kid's fencing (or other sports).

So parents, keep your receipts and coaches should ensure that proper receipts are provided for tax purposes.

I saw that form on the website. I think it is a great idea (therefore it will never happen here).

Not enough corporate money in fit kids.

I don't know fencergrl, Canada is looking better and better.

LOL.... my hubby works for the Feds and suspects the government is really looking for a way to ensure that whatever small change the coaches make here that they declare it as income for their taxes....

I'll like to think the government wants to encourage fitness for the next generation so that we don't end up with a bunch of fat little kids with health problems... but then again, I don't work for the bastards... so who knows what their real intention is.
