| All-Cals Fencing Tournament: All UC alums encouraged to compete All UC alums (and you know who you are!) are encouraged to head down to sunny Santa Barbara to compete in the annual All-Cals Fencing tournament held at UC Santa Barbara. For more information, please check the following webpage.
Thanks for letting me share this.
I won my first "big" tournament at the 1984 All-Cals. It's been all downhill since!

| I was actually asking EDEW...
But I know who you are, and I am the bewildered sabre fencer.

I couldn't attend because we had a major event in San Francisco that I was involved (as a referee). Had the mayor there and everything.

| EDEW-
Sounds like that would be a fun tournament to attend. Keep me posted on these great tournaments, and I might get to meet you someday, especially on the sabre strip. It's always great to meet fellow alums.
Purple Fencer-
I was the bewildered sabre fencer that placed 4th in Mixed Sabre, getting my a$$ kicked by Tiffany, UCSB's new fencing coach.

Mike Tiffany;s taking a coaching position? When did this happen? I just talked to him tonight about a coach's plastron. |

| That was the last thing I heard about when I was up there for the All Cals. I don't know if it's official yet, but that's the scuttlebutt. I also heard that he's a good "B" Foilist as well. Tis a good thing too... I was worried that UCSB's Fencing team may become non-existant. No worries now though, if what I hear is true Tiffany is a great guy. Keep me posted if you hear anything else.

| Well, let me know if you need an assistant coach. I will definitely join you. Incidentally, I hope to see you at next years All Cals!
