| Australia (Canberra) Development Weekend May 2002 Dear Fencers,
ACTFA (the Australian Capital Territory Fencing Association) is pleased to confirm the details for their second Development Weekend of 2002.
We’re especially lucky to have Al Wardle, Australia’s top foil coach, to present the coaching course and the skills workshop on the Sunday, at a fee that represents incredibly good value (Al is very generously limiting his fee to ACTFA to the bare minimum so that we can offer the cheapest possible rate to ACTFA members – Al really is doing us a great favour in 2002, so please do your best to come along and show your support, and improve your skills).
I’d especially encourage 2-year or longer fencers to consider the first of four modules of the Coaching Course. You don’t have to take all four modules consecutively, and once you have completed all four, you’re able to be examined to obtain your AFF-recognised Level 1 coaching qualification. ACTFA is actively supporting the growth in coaching skills in the Canberra region, and we’ll be delighted to see as many participants as possible to Al’s first module on the Sunday.
Please direct any enquiries or registrations to me, via email or ‘phone (details in my signature at the end of this message).
Please also support ACTFA by passing on this message to anyone you may feel appropriate. We plan to soon have a broad ACTFA emailing list, but until then we’re reliant on you guys helping out to spread the news.
