Middle of Nebraska - anybody fencing?

Hi,

I'm trying to get a group going in Hastings, NE.

Right now, it's me and my son working out on Mondays at the YMCA...

Does anyone know of any individuals in this part of the world who are current or former fencers? i.e. Central Nebraska, Hastings, Kearney, Grand Island and surrounding areas.

We occasionally go to Lincoln to work out with the Lincoln Fencing Club, but they don't know of anybody in this area, either.

We moved back to Nebraska in 1992, and I agree that there is not much in the way of fencing in this state. There are some in the Lincoln Fencing Club that do know that I am here. For info about my background, see www.sword-play.net.

Lincoln and Omaha both have a great clubs.

Omaha just had a novice tournament. We took our son for it. Lincoln is hosting another in a couple of weeks.

In the meanwhile, I'm training my son and a couple of his friends...
