Is there any way to remove a dead spot?
Or do you just need to buy a new lame. -

Array There are many ways to fix a lame'. Depending on the size and the reason you might use different methods.
There are metal threads, liquid metal (expensive), place a patch over the dead spot. These are for broken wires.
For corosion, sizing, spill, soap you can clean.
Purple Fencer has a good article on cleaning on his web site. http://www.homfencing.com/
Important make sure rinse, rinse, rinse. Donald Hollis Clinton, Jr. DHCJr@juno.com

For "It's a few ohms high at equipment check" there's also a wire brush, but for a "dead spot" you'll want a real solution. -

Array We can put a new front panel on the lame for 60.00 and make it like a brand new lame. We have done this several time now for fencers that like the fit of there old lame Tim Loomis
