| Why would you do that??? It's like one of those things that is utterly useless but still neat, like picking up things with your toes. |

| Fine. If not the remote, then clothes etc on your bedroom floor. Or towels in the bathroom.
I just when you drop something. Or to open doors when your handfs are full. I use my toes frequently for such pursuits. I'll be ready should I ever lose my arms.

| I actually knew a professor who couldn't use his hands because of a disability, so instead he wrote with his feet. |

| that's pretty freaky. I wonder where he stores his organs.
On the topic of writing, there was a relief teacher at school who had no hands and wrote by manipulating a pen with his two stumps. He wrote pretty well too from what I've heard.

| I'm familiar with this. The guy isn't a mutant its something that anyone could do if trained. Once the initial piercings are made it can be done as often as one would like. Its not much different than having an earring despite how scary it appears.
Its not something I'd recommend as you could die of shock if you're not able to concentrate and not everyone's organs are always in exactly the right places which could present a problem since the folks doing the rituals usually don't use xrays.
And no, I haven't done it myself. |

| Which answers the how quite nicely, but not the why.
Interesting nontheless. Now all I need is a rotisserie skewer...
