As a Fundraising Event for Chicago area clubs and high schools, a leading Chicago are financial institution is sponsoring this fundraiser for the Chicago-area fencing clubs and high school fencing programs. The event is geared to the young fencer. It will be hosted by one of the financial advisors, Jane G. Doyle. Net Festival proceeds will be distributed to participating Chicago area fencing clubs.
There will be a tournament for Junior, Cadet and Youth fencers. There will be a Parents Seminar, geared toward the parent of a fencing child. It will cover such topics as psychology, scholarships, athlete's behavior and rights on the strip.
SPECIAL GUEST: MICHAEL MARX
Five Time U.S. Olympian and National Women's Epee Coach. Mr. Marx will host a clinic discussing modern fencing, motivation, problem solving techniques, with an open forum for questions. The clinic is open to all (youth and adult). Coaches are encouraged to attend with their students, free of charge.
