Basic answer: There is no "best" epee. Different people like different things. Some love a light blade, some like heavier. Some like flexible, some like stiff. Some feel perfect, but have very short lifespans. Some feel horrible, but last forever.
You essentially need to try a few and find the one that feels best to you. Ask Club members or coaches if you can try theirs out. That's how I decided which I liked. Just so you all know, I took a lot of time and animated a stick figure going up to another stick figure and asking what the best epee is and the second stick figure shot himself. I was like 10 frames from the end and flash killed itself.
It would have been really funny. Trust me. Funny.
The answer to the question is pretty much BF White, as RF said. Personal preferences vary, but they're almost certainly the best around. The threads linked to earlier provide a more intricate discussion. -
my vote goes to Foil, you dummy!!
rotflmao.....
Seriously I'd say vniti or bf blue or white.
My vniti is like a viper!!!

Say "name brand socket to match your body cord, Uhlmann (or FWF), Leon Paul or Negrini". The copies don't work as well. -

A socket is a socket. "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. And from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. A socket is a socket. Unless it's a non-triplette socket with a triplette body cord. -

A socket is a socket. Well, as always, your mileage may very, but in my experience:
Mixing a Prier style 2 prong socket and a german style 2 prong plug has frequent intermittent problems
Most of the copies of the Uhlmann plug develop intermittent problems much sooner than the real thing
The copies of the Leon Paul do not last as long as the real thing -

Is common sense not to be assumed? "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. And from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. I agree with brtech - all sockets are not created equal, even if they do look the same. -
Yeah, after starting teaching, I've realized that common sense should never be assumed. "Life is like a wheel, where everyone steals, but when we rise, it's like Strawberry Fields." -

Is common sense not to be assumed? If there were ever such an assumption regarding the forum, your frequent postings would have shattered the expectation of common sense long ago...
And yes, choosing a proper socket for the cords you use is important. Also if you use eccentric mounting angles, extreme cant or are trying to build a very light blade, the correct choice for your purpose even among quality sockets matters.

I would say the LP pro range pad that you can see through, that or a piece of clear vinyl you get at the store for a quarter and cut a pad from it. -
Whichever one the Uhlmann guy has that is really expensive and has a cool color to it. Looks good, lasts long, and besides, if you have to ask you won't notice the difference anyway. The devil has better vodka than God. Similar Threads -
