Full torso under-arm protector?

Hey y'all!

After a quick search didn't reveal anything noticeable on my particular question...

I have an underarm protector that is nylon lined with terrycloth that covers to the elbow on both arms and velcros up the left hand side (in other words, velcros where a right-handed front-zip jacket would zip, except it's an under-arm protector). I love this under arm protector, it is comfortable and warm when I take my jacket off and sweat absorbing and doesn't noticeably add to the amount I suffer when geared up and I don't want to trade it for anything.

But it's not legal. It's coming part on the inside a bit at the side seams, which are only off by about a 1/2 inch from the side seams of my jacket, arguably lining up with those seams when I fence and thus not being overly legal.

I've never been called on it, but since it's coming apart a bit anyway, I'm looking to replace it. It was part of my beginner set from Physical Chess which I got for Christmas one year, but I couldn't find it there when I looked recently. I've looked at the Allstar full body, which is very thin, not lined, and zips in the center of the chest. Does anyone have any recommendations?

We can more than likely make you one. If we had the old one for a pattern and we can make the seams legal.

Or why not order a 'full torso' plastron from, say, Allstar..? Both legal and safe.

I've looked at it, like I said. My current one actually provides additional padding, as well as the terrycloth lining that absorbs sweat and keeps me very warm out of my gear, without noticeably increasing the heat-level in my gear. Basically, it doesn't hold any appeal other than being full-torso.

Like I said we can make one for you. My wife just need to used the old one as a pattern. With us being involed in fencing for over 30 years we know what is required.
