New guy

Hello!

I'm Wes Watson, from Pekin, IL. I am brand new to fencing - in fact, we don't start until Feb 2. . . so I'm here to learn a bit. . .

My son, Isaiah, became interested in fancing, and asked if we could find a place locally to check it out. We found the Peoria Fencing Academy, which we visited last night - and so far - he's hooked. He's wanted to get into it for about a year now, dad's just been slow in getting the info. Of course, with his baby sister having some serious medical problems, we had lots going on. So the timing is much better now.

I have to admit, I've long been a fan, but never really thought much about actually 'doing' it - so this is pretty cool for me as dad, as well. I'm pretty excited too.

I'm a professional IT (computers) guy, and a semi-pro musician, so this will be brand new. And I'm really looking forward to it.

GOOD for you. My son will be six next year and I plan on getting him set up for fencing then. right now fighting is still to much of a game for him and I dont want that to trans into fencing
