| FIE uniforms I always thought someone had the good sense to make FIE uniforms optic white ( if anyone has read Ellison's Invisible Man). Absolute's FIE material made me cringe. Any idea why they decided on that color? I mean, if I were to own a business, I would at least try to be aesthetically pleasing, even if it was more expensive because in all honesty, who wants to buy a yellowy body excretion stained looking uniforms? Am I missing something here?
I also believe PBT's extralight/superlight whatever has a similar color, but not as so garish as the Absolute.
Anyone shed some light?

| If you go to their site and look at the Negrini uniforms, you'll see they have a yellow tinge.
I believe it's because the material the uniforms are made of is naturally yellowish, and it actually has to be dyed white, which is why you never bleach a non-cotton uniform. |

| most 800N cloth is naturally a bit yellow. There is cheap stuff that is yellow and the only pure white stuff on the market is nearly twice the price, absolute compete on the basis of price and have obviously decided that low price is more important than the color. |

| How long did it take in tennis to go from white towards color.
Quite a few years.
Who knows, maybe fencing will get to the colored jackets etc. sometime as well.
Though, I think, the white really makes the sport look quite elegant.

They are really, really nice. The cut is great and it is lighter than Allstar/Ulhmann.

| Interestingly, I didn't know why uniforms were traditionaly white until yesterday. In the past you used to put a blue piece of chalk on your tip to indicate hits!!
Cool eh |

As BySword indicated it is a problem with the photography. I can assure you that the real thing is very white and bright. The elastic is not as bright, slightly off-white - but the set looks great and the quality is really good.
