What happened with O'Hara and Elward? They shouldn't have done anything bad... Our club trys to teach us to be good competitors and good sports. (with alot of people they fail *cough* Sam K. *cough*, ask Mrs. B about him, Sabur nationals 2nd teams)

Well with O'Hara at the blake tournament last year, my captain beat him and he wasn't too happy about it and instead of shaking Marcus's hand he slammed the pommel of his blade into his shoulder and yeah I dunno we weren't too keen on fencing him in the future. Funny you mention Elward... I can't remember him... did he place 3rd last year in state? Or was the Quast, either way ben fenced one of them for 3rd place and lost but it was a dirty bout the director wasn't exactly fair and JB lost it half way though and the director asked him to leave.. then Maria got all mad at the director for yelling at her son. It was just nasty. We're you there for that? I think you guys won the team thing... as usual.

w00t! I got to meet Warrior Princess! Aha that was fun. How'd you do, by the way? JB had me holding the plug in and I was gonna watch you fence. My hand hurts.. but Ben's bringing the plug to his room with him so he can work on it for tomorrow.

You know what you need to do with the plug, right? And I wasn't fencing well, I was kindof having an issue with one of my team mates (my fault). I was stressed (my fault), sick (probably also my fault, I always get sick when I kiss a new guy for the first time), and my head just wasn't there. Definitly not a bout to watch. After that one, I scratched and let our ultranite fence. When I'm like that (which does happen), its not fair to my team for me to fence. What'd you think of me? (other than fencing)

Yeah we got it pretty well off cause we used the box the next day in practice.

Aha I thought you were awesome! lol it was kinda different cause now I have a face to go with the screenname. You were definately rather hyper. I heard from Marcus that you've talked to him some before...

so you kissed a new guy.. hmmm I see... lol

So I probably wasn't my usual hyper self party cause it was tuesday night and I had a TON of stuff to do for school, and partly caused I was *insertnastywordhere* mad at my teammate for almost completely ditching me for her Boyfriend and Tech Crew. And now shes mad at ME! She hasn't said 3 words to me since the meet but this time I'm not crawling back to her apologizing. This ones her fault, she needs to get her priorities in order.

Anyways... yeah Omg its JB's 18th next tuesday! aha I was talking to him last night it was funny...

Des Moines, IA - 18. (No, that is not located in the middle of a cornfield!)

I actually started the club at my (public) high school a little over a year ago. Epee only, but eventually we'd like to have all 3. We have about a dozen people who show up fairly regularly (as in, I recognize them and mostly know their names). The first session we started with 30 people, but it dropped off once people realized they weren't learning Jedi-style fighting. So, our club is much more pathetic than yours, SSMSabreMN

We're fairly disorganized about competitions, but on of my goals before I graduate is to get a "team" together to go to a couple tourneys. It also doesn't help that there aren't any other high school teams in the state (except maybe one at a private school but I've never heard of them competing).

Say, SSMSabreMN, if there are any upcoming HS tourneys in MN that could take an epee team or individuals, lemme know.

Marcus? My team or yours? Thanks for saying I'm awesome.
Yeah... I kissed a new guy, big mistake *sighs*. He likes me alot more than I like him.
So you guys fixed the plug by bending it out like I showed you? Cool... I feel special now.
I washyper because of the hour long car ride and 8 hours of school. I didn't end up geting any sleep that night though (I can't do homework in the car because I get car sick, I was picked up right from school, and we didn't get home untill 9:30).
Yah, one of my teammates and I are really kind of at odds because she really wants captin positon next year (she's a year older than me) and the coaches already treat me like captin, and Elward and O'Hara wanted me to be men's captain this year (coach vetoed because the we have like 8 guys and only 4 girls that compete).
Your team mate should really be there for practice, I know this'll be hard, but you have to sit down and talk to her. Tell her to decide which teck crew things she'll go to and which fencing things she'll go to. Draw up a sceduel, like fencing one day and tech the next. Don't back down and make her stick to it. If she's not there, hunt her down.

19 (For 6 more days) figured I would post in here while I was still a teen fencer.

Didn't fence until college, now I'm at a university in the midwest, fencing foil.

Gahh its harder when shes my best (and up until about a month ago) and only friend. Shes got a ton of crap going on and stuff between a seriously evil stepmom to school stuff... As long as she shows up for team competitions so that I can fence I'm alright with it. My goal is more individual wins over the team win. Anyways, I'm pretty much Girls sabre captain (over one other person W00T!) and Sure to be overall team captain in my senior year if not co-captain in my junior year as well. Only luke really has seniority over me, once marcus (my teams marcus by the way... he said you've MSN'd him before... if you have his msn I'd like to get it sometime...) graduates next year. Yay! My dad is looking at talking to people at the camp he works at that I go to in the summer... its a regular summer camp but we're gonna try to get fencing started there and I figure I know enough seniors this year that could come be counselors and teach it and I could help teach basics for the most part... its something to look into...

oh and Iabelle, there aren't really any tournaments up as of right now. Our state championships is comming up in about 2-3 weeks, we have a couple of tournaments throughout the season tho so next year keep an eye out on www.askfred.net

Woo! Good job! You're now one of my friends. You can only be one of my best friends if you're a sabrist, though... we're all counting on you to make the right choice!
