Heads Up!!! The BBC do a Program on Fencing.

    Well sort of.

Here's an extract from the web page:
    </font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Helvetica, Arial">quote:</font><hr /><font size="2" face="Helvetica, Arial"> Fencing and Underwater Hockey!
Not a combination you would expect. The BBC has produced a sort of sports "Changing Rooms". The idea is that two teams take part in each other's sports, neither having done the opponents sport before.

    </font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Helvetica, Arial">Here's a link to the page:

Hey, exposure is exposure. Just ask Anna Nicole Smith! Too bad my cable here doesn't get that channel.

Is there anyone out there that might be able to record it? VHS or DVD? Looking forward to hearing the reviews.

I haven't seen the program you're all talking about, but my club once had an "interchange" with a boxing club.

Actually they weren't too bad at all, only they tended to use too much "muscles" than needed instead of technical finesse.

Fencing is not too different from boxing though (I know because I used to do boxing, not boxaerobics, twice a week for three years). We use the same sort of movement, only with the other "half" of the body. So boxing is actually a very good way of compensating that other part of your body, and it's great excersise as well!

Boxing is just not too good for the shape of your nose... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
    • Epee is the Louis Vuitton bag of fencing: only the best can get it, and the rest of the masses must content themselves with cheap knockoffs (sabre, foil)
    • To not recognize the power of the French grip is to be in denial

Muhammed Ali has Parkinsons - Nasty!

On the subject of the Fencing Programme, I think it's either been rescheduled or cancelled.

I know it is a bit late now, but there was a programme "freestyle" that I think was it on at about 8.30 in the morning in the little CBBC bit on BBC 2 (it being the holidays an' all). Unfortunately I had to go to work, and forgot to tape it.
I wish I could think of something witty to write here.

Yep, that would have been the one. Dammit, never thought of it being on in the morning.
    Never mind.
