Seriously the ONLy shoe worth a sh@@ was the old asymm. hitops IMHO but even those needed serious preventative maintenance and repair.

Array I have the Adistars and I love them to death. The Stabils are supposed to be nice too though. RebelFencer's Awesome Quote of the Week:

Array The barracades are the best out of that bunch IMO, Mine have lasted 3 years so far!!! many times longer than any fencing shoe i have used in the past. They have excelent grip and really good cushioning in the heels. -

Array I've seen the barricades, but they are kinda bulky though, I mean like they are bulkier than the stabil 6. I think Fabrice Jeannett was wearing a Barricade 2 at the 06 world champ. -

Array I spose they are heavier than fencing shoes, but you hardly notice when fencing in them. They've got a metal meash in the sides that resist wear if you roll you back foot, and like I said, they've got superb grip. -

FF FF: I have three pairs of Adidas fencing shoes...they're 18 (blue& yellow stripe), 17 (blue & yellow stripe) and 10 (purple stripe) years old. Have they changed that much??? -
