| Epee Lesson plans Hey, Everyone! I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but...
My club has asked me to teach a ten week beginner Epee class, and I'm somewhat mystified about how to set it up. I know I'm capable of teaching everything they need to learn in that period of time, I just don't know how to organize it. Do any of you know where I can find some set lesson plans to study, or have any like advice?
Note: The fencers taking the Epee class have already fenced foil for a while, so I don't have to spend weeks on basic footwork and stuff, at least, I don't think so. |

| If you can find a copy, Fencing with the Epee by Roger Crosnier has a detailed lesson plan for a 30 hour beginning epee class in the back. It's also designed for fencers who started with foil.
Also, I think Craig has notes from an epee camp that Aladar Kogler organized.

| You could try using Terry Kingston's "Epee combat manual" as a basis for your course |

| If you're still looking for ideas, Imre Vass presents a number of good guidelines on lessons and skill progression in epee. |

| tsk tsk. No respect at all. If the epeeists you've seen look like they're sleeping on their feet, you haven't seen any very good epeeists. I don't think I've ever seen a rated epeeist stand still for more than a second. At least, I hope I haven't...
But yeah, no matter whose lesson plans you use, make sure that you emphasize above all the necessity to keep moving and keep the wrist in line with the guard (i.e. not an obvious target).
All luck to you and your students!
