| Leon Paul!!!! I just got back form the Southern Star and I had a Leon Paul Tip. The threads in the tip have actually been striped and the contact spring won't pass shim because the spring pretty much falls out and can't be fixed. Does anyone know a temporary fix for a bad tip if I can't replace it at the time. The armorer at the event said that you have you use a Leon Paul tip in a Leon Paul barrel but is their an easier way. Am I just screwed? I have heard good things about a screwless tip from Swordmasters will it fit on to a Gutter Blade? I know it is alot of questions but I have faith in you all. Oh one more thing would it be worth the expence to buy a bag of tips to have some on hand. |

| You can put an FWF point in the Leon Paul barrel and it will work just fine. Give me a call on Monday morning and I can switch that tip out for you no problem.
Haven't seen that problem with an LP tip before, so I'm curious to see it.
Was Bill the armorer there? If so, he should have a spare. See if he'll you one and I'll can replace it with one out of my stock.

I am pretty full the earlier part of the week due to finals but I am thinking about going and fencing at AFC later this week I will send you a PM finalizing the details if anything happens. We may be able to meet down there if its alright with you. |

Won't be fencing this week as all of the last minute shopping happens next week and I'll be putting in long days to get everyone their Christmas goodies. The good thing is that USPS will get you the point parts next day if you order early enough to have it go out that day.
DFP - German tips and Leon Paul tips are equivilent. I like the LP tips a bit more as the contact springs tend to stay put and don't back out.

| Hi Left Handed,
I sure wish I had known that I was supposed to be at this tournament!
I'm not real sure why you are having so many problems with your Leon Paul tip, but if you will contact me at sales@leonpaulusa.com or call 404-653-9933tomorrow, I'll be happy to help you. With respect to the problem with the travel, there is a technique for fixing the contact spring in place and then adjusting the travel. I can email you (or anyone) a data sheet on how to do this, just email me at sales@leonpaulusa.com and request it.--Bill |

Switch it out.
Get a holt of Leon Paul USA or craig and just pop it off and put a new one on. Be on the safe side.
