| Music I found some good music for fencers. The James Gang, and Blue Oyster Cult.
I just listened to some of it, again and it's very good to get yourself going for your next competition.
It's all 1971-1972 - but it's very good. Very Young - |

| Speaking of that.....someone sent me some really gross death threats in my personal e-mail box. Please refrain, I do save them and they're really not nice. Here is what it said. And I don't appreciate it. examples of the Scheherazade complex, Paul thought now, half-dreaming as the sound of Annies mower ebbed and flowed at some great echoing distance. "I was actually thinking of you,she said, spooning soup into his mouth and then professionally wiping away a dribble, from the comer with a napkin.
"I was actually thinking of you,she said, spooning soup into his mouth and then professionally wiping away a dribble, from the comer with a napkin.
He scratched it along the rough dark-brown strip on the back of the book a third time and a pale-yellow flame bloomed at the end of the paper stick.
He turned the pages faster and faster, his horror mounting, and the two thoughts which kept repeating were Why in Gods name didnt they tip faster?
He held the jamb and felt her over him felt her hands sinking into his neck and he screamed Die cant you die cant you ever die cant you - "GA W. |

And that e-mail you got is not a death threat, it is junk mail. I get about three or four e-mails like that from various sources in a typical week.

| Don't you find Death Cab makes you sort of slow down? The gentle reptitiveness is something I thought would probably not prepare my body for activity very well. Not that the music is not great, just that it doesn't seem good for fencing. I guess it would depend on the song too.
For fencing: The Fall of Troy, Chevelle, Chiodos, Mars Volta, DFA 1979, fast heavyish stuff. I think from looking at other posts loud stuff seems to be pretty popular. I'm sure there have been studies done on this. |

| I haven't even heard of most of that stuff. Guess I'm rather sheltered or something. I prefer Rossini, Tchaikovsky, Shore, stuff like that. Not into the heavier stuff. Whatever. Then again, considering how I've been fencing recently, maybe I should change what I listen to.

Death Cab is nice because it gets me into the zone, a sort of mindless existance. Sometimes listening to Wolfmother and the like, I get a little over-enthusiastic and begin to want to crush people... |
