| Returning from long absence Hello fencing world.
I fenced in college about 40 years ago. I have been thinking about returning to the sport for many years but couold not find a club within reasonable distance to join. I finally made a connection and found there are several clubs active in Michigan.
After a month of weekly open fencing I find my mind is way ahead of my body, ( I know what I want to do but am about three hours late with the execution). I guess a long lay off will do that.
I find myself just as excited now as long ago when I first started and am looking forward to several years of exciting exercise and competition. |

| Welcome back to the sport and to the forum. The forum is a good place to hang out when you feel discouraged or need vet-specific information.
You'll find a number of vet fencers here (search through past threads or the journal/blog section). Some of us (such as I) who started later in life, while others like yourself, who are returning to the sport.
