| Fencing in Japan So I tossed this question out here a few months back and unfortunately it's not something many people would have any idea on, so I figured I'd try again.
My wife and I are living in Japan, about an hour north of Kobe on the Shintetsu line. We've really missed fencing since we moved and can't seem to find information on any fencing in the area (mostly because our Japanese is still that of a 3 year old). So... does anyone know of any fencing in the Kansai/Kakogawa area?

| Going to the FIE website I couldn't find a website for the Japanese federation but they had an email adress listed at: fencing@japan-sports.or.jp that you might be able to try |

| But he said he can't speak Japanese much less read it. I would put on my fencing gear, pack my fencing bag get on a train to a kendo school and ask the teacher in charge about European fencing club - ka? |

i thought mahself a fencin man
ah fenced a japanese masta
and he was way fasta
supa long lasta
eatin da pasta
he said "thug you iz good
but right now? you is panda food!"
luckly, he was in a good mood
so he trained me like da karate kid
i paid o course, a nice high bid
"wax on wax off" he said
den i learned all i could, and fenced really nice
when i come back to da states i was cold as ice
and mah hair waz infested wit lice
and i got a really strong cravin fo rice
but when i fence it aint no roll o da dice
i always win now, it was worth da price. |

| I don't like your style,
you're making fun of ebonics
With a smile,
If you fenced a Japanese master
as you said,
you'd be on the ground
with a peice of bamboo.
Bend oddly around your head.
Mt. Fuji would proudly look down,
As you look with wonder, all around,
the blurred view of the world that you have,
is from the big bump on your head. |

| Turn your karma into hendokuiyaku,
and your 8th consciousness into 9th
If you don't wash your mask soon,
you'll get some head lice.
[blah - just kidding - take it light]
Commence with your fencing in Japan!
and buy yourself a golden fan,
Good luck to you my friend,
May the winds of prosperity carry you forward,
Because those guys won't help you win.
Sumimasen before you engarde!
and
Sumimasen when you win!
It's definetly sumimasen as you flesch out your attack,
Because sumimasen is very in. |

| Japan usually has almost a full squad of men and women fencing at the Veterans World Championships. PM me if you want an E-mail for an English speaking Veteran fencer.

Someone in Japan is fencing. | Was it really worth looking through all six ranking lists for that? |
