| a late introduction
hello all. i've been a member for a few weeks but haven't gotten around to introducing myself---so here it goes.
i'm 27 and i've been fencing foil for about 5 years now---dry---we can't afford an electric set-up where i fence. we fence in a tiny room at a community college in california. i was never really into competing anyway so not having the electric gear has been fine---i just love fencing. i've had major depression pretty much my whole life---cause unknown---fencing has really helped me through a lot of hard times. i've been doing really well for the last few years---instead of hanging myself i just go and stab my friends with a sword and everything seems fine.
happy i found this forum---nice to have a place to talk fencing with people who are just as obsessed as i am.

I have found that I don't really stab in sabre since I'm not nearer enough and I find it hard to stab the wrist.
