Array Unreal, its amazing that most all the lights are in the North.
That is quite a site. ... without remorse for the past, confident in the present, and full of hope for the future, [d'artagnan] went to bed and slept the sleep of the brave.

Array yes it is beautiful, now here's another philosophical thought. so, we made our own lights, they rival the stars, and some think it stinks, but the perspective from above is beautiful, and provides another scene for us to admire. which is better, stars or lights? stars are gaseous masses, or stars, that provide pinpoints of light, they provide gravitational pull, and eventually they explode or implode, but i also like lights. maybe having one makes us admire the other and visa vera. keep writing! -

Array Wow! It's like someone's cut out north America from an Atlas, poked it a zillion times with a pin, then held a torch behind it in a darkened roon so the light streamed through the front!
That is a tre cool image!
Take care!

Array The USA isn't actually all that densely populated - it's just huge. Compare it with Japan or even the UK, it nowhwere near as dense. The picture is beautiful but ominous at the same time. I mean all that wasted electricity!
On another similair note. The Russians at one point planned to light the Siberian Sky from space using a huge mirror. They even launched test models but I belive they gave up cos of the cost. Similar Threads -
