I fenced for a place called Tri-State College, now Tri-State University, in Angola, Indiana. After that, I fenced in the AFLA (Whats that!) in the Cleveland area. I got smashed by a lot of good fencers in those tournys.
Moved to Florida and spent time with a guy called Manny Forrest. We work on designing some equipment for testing weapons and made some scoreing boxes. Started a company called Fencing Electronics. Fenced now and then and collected swords. Joined the SCA and fought with broadswords. Learned how to make chain maile and beer.
Got married and have 2 boys, who are interested in fencing. Seeing that I might be spending whole days at fencing meets, again, I am developing some new test equipment and fencing armoury gear. I can demo these and fix stuff between the bouts.
I now use PIC microchips in the electronics and am good at electronic design. Got lots of friends that are engineers to help on the hard stuff.
Any questions and comments on equipment are welcome.
