Array Weapons Cemetary Hey all, I'm starting up a fencing weapons cemetary. Yes, you heard right. A place to remember a loved one (as in blades).
I have the foundations put down, as in the site is here, but it just needs content, and I suppose I can only do it though publicity so here I am! Visit my site! hehe......oh dear...o_0
Well this is the site:

I hope this gets some sort of interest to it. Mostly for humour purposes. There's going to be a wounds gallery too, so if you have any good shiners, send them though . Okay, this is it for my rave. Take care!

Omg I wish I had taken pics. of my old broken blade, but I threw it before I got my digital camera... <sigh> And if you want to start a wounds gallery, you'd better be prepared for some non-G-rated material, lol... my best ones are usually welts on the butt: either from stepping in to a flick in foil, or from fencing sabre with foilists who can't seem to find the valid target, lol... Although there was that black eye I had... lol, but that wasn't really from fencing... one of my teammates hit me in the face w/ a frisbee "I've had just about enough of your Vassar-bashing, young lady!" -Homer Simpson -

Array Foil blades in two parts, held together only by the wire...epee blades bent at right angles ( that still work! )...sabre blades in fishhook shapes ( bent by owner in a snit over losing a bout )...epee blades broken on one side of the fuller but intact on the other side...but alas, no photos... Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you! -

Array My best break was a foil I had. On top of being a great weapon, it was also a graduation present from a good friend of mine. Flesched one day at Nat. Qualifiers (I think) got the touch and snapped. But it went down fighting!! Alas, I too have no photos.
I also had a foil that broke down one side, but the other side was intact. Since it wasn't a very big break and it was under the tape, it went unnoticed and we kept fencing with it (teammate was using it against me) for a few more touches, until I finally said "Let me see if I can straighten that out a bit" and realized it was broken. Thankfully, she was still a fairly new fencer and I didn't get hit at all in those few touches. Methix
