Just got in some gold foil guards and decided that one needed to go on a gold blade.

| Shame that Gold Blade Fencing Center is so epee-centric then, eh? |

| Yeah, a spray-painted gold grip to go with everything to make a fully gold everything would definitely double the coolness value. |

| And then the socket would have to be gold.
And the pad. Tip tape too, most likely.
Then you'd have to change the name on the back of your lame to Midas.

Then you'd have to change the name on the back of your lame to Midas. | You can use clear tip tape and a clear pad, and a little gold spray paint could fix the socket. And you could use the LP lightweight lame. |

| We saw someone a couple of weeks ago with a gold-tipped, gold-bladed, and gold-guarded epee. Soon to be featured on "Pimp my Blade". |

| A while back, Duelist UK had gold plated Epee tips. Just for show mainly, as a sort of gag gift. At least that's what I thought of them as. PC also had/had gold plated foil sockets. Speaking of Duelist UK though, I think they also made a complete "gold touch" epee for a couple of their elite sponsored fencers. Gold plated bell, Gold StM blade, gold plated tip, grip and socket.
Craig, Any other cool colors in the works that you can talk about? I would like to reserve some black or blue ones. A couple for foil and a couple for epee...

| I've heard of people gold-plating their saber blades (or at least the tip) and aparently in an attempt to decrease the resistance (ie. make it easier to get a touch). I don't think this would have any significant impact though.

| Wow erm...I looks....odd. Not in a good way though. Kind of ugly in my opinion. I would never use a golden weapon.

And for the most part I hear "foil" referred to as wrapping. Like wrappong paper or holiday wrapping and such. Not foil for the most part. But thats just me I guess
