New to posting...

Hello!

I've been looking around fencing.net since I started fencing a couple years ago, but I've never introduced myself or posted anything. I've just started to get decent enough that I can go to some competitions without being completely devoured (the easy ones ) but I have a long way to go... I absolutely love fencing though, it's the only sport I've ever clicked with. I think it has to do with how individualized it is- Do other fencers find that they're better at individual sports than team ones?

Welcome!

I don't like team sports 1.) Because I don't trust other people to do a good enough job, so I end up dominating the field; and 2.) In individual sports if I screw up there is only me to blame.

Good luck with competition!

Hello all,

New to Fencing.net, been around fencing awhile. I come and I go as my moods take me. My mood finds me getting back into it despite feeling a bit geriatric after a 5 year break.

I just noticed that there's another Robert Smith. That's him, not me. I'm much less geriatric than he is.

Sorry if this lead to any confusion Robert.

Bob.
