| Swordsman's Night Out [code]
<p align="center"><font face="Arial">This whole topic is about my date and I. Not much to
do with anything/anybody else; it's really little more than showing off.
That said, you've been warned! If you choose to look further, you can't
hold me responsible for any egotism - you don't have to read it if you don't
want to!</font></p>
<p align="center"><font face="Arial">May 18th was prom night for our school. Pretty late,
yes. And I'm pretty late getting this up - school's out by now!</font></p>
<p align="center"><font face="Arial">I went to her house around 3:30, where we took the first
few pictures (the absolute first one, actually, is from much earlier in the
year). After that we went to my house for some pictures on our camera
(which we don't have back yet), and then left for dinner around 4:45. The
Olive Garden ended up being not nearly as crowded as we'd anticipated, and so we
were done with dinner long before prom started (and nobody shows up right when
it starts). So we waited around at The Olive Garden and talked with
another table all filled up with couples from our school, until we were ready to
go. Then we followed one of those couples to the dance, since I'd
neglected to get directions.</font></p>
<p align="center"><font face="Arial">The dance itself was pretty cool, excepting too much rap
on the playlist. The room was also very warm, especially in a suit.</font></p>
<p align="center"><font face="Arial">After prom was the after-prom party (go figure), hosted at
a local bowling alley. There's just something about being told "The
food and drinks are that way, it's all free, and please take a lot!"
that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Or maybe that's just the
doughnuts. I spent about the first 45 minutes there just eating.
After that, six of us (three couples) got a game of bowling (also all free)
together, which was a lot of fun. By the time we were done (3 am), the
place was starting to empty out. So we started another game with all six
of us on two lanes. At this point it was announced that we had 15 minutes
to finish up the games. That got insane.</font></p>
<p align="center"><font face="Arial">After after-prom was the after-after-prom party (go figure
again), which was at a friend's house (the girl in the white dress in the fourth
picture). That lasted until about 4:30, and consisted mainly of the same
six of us crashing in her living room by two's and laughing hysterically about
pathetically bad jokes because we were so tired.</font></p>
<p align="center"><font face="Arial">Then, about the time the sky started getting pink and
blue, I went home and went to bed.</font></p>
<p align="center"><font face="Arial">And if you're bored/mad/frustrated at this point, don't
say I didn't warn you!</font></p>
</p>
</p>
<p align="center"><img border="0" src="http://swordsman.8k.com/prom/Classic.jpg" width="166" height="360"><font face="Arial">
This is just a <u>classic</u>
picture of my date. Not prom night, but definitely her!</font></p>
<p align="center"> </p>
<p align="center"><img border="0" src="http://swordsman.8k.com/prom/Rhododendron.jpg" width="278" height="360">
<font face="Arial">This is the afternoon of prom, outside her house.</font></p>
<p align="center"> </p>
<p align="center"><img border="0" src="http://swordsman.8k.com/prom/Arbor.jpg" width="263" height="360">
<font face="Arial">Same here...</font></p>
<p align="center"> </p>
<p align="center"><img border="0" src="http://swordsman.8k.com/prom/Outside.jpg" width="753" height="360">
<font face="Arial">We met up with a couple we're friends with in the parking lot
outside the convention center. I took the picture while catching up.</font></p>
<p align="center"> </p>
<p align="center"><img border="0" src="http://swordsman.8k.com/prom/Dance.jpg" width="480" height="360">
<font face="Arial">A digital picture taken courtesy of the tech ed teacher while
in the dance itself.</font></p>
<p align="center"> </p>
<p align="center"><img border="0" src="http://swordsman.8k.com/prom/Scoop.jpg" width="219" height="360">
<font face="Arial">The chemistry teacher said she wanted a picture of us doing
goofy stuff, so here's what I did. She's not real big on the whole
chivalry thing...</font></p>
<p align="center"> </p>
<p align="center"><img border="0" src="http://swordsman.8k.com/prom/Knight%20II.jpg" width="237" height="360">
<font face="Arial">Our Knight in Shining Armor. The school mascot is the
Knights, so they got a guy in plate armor to come wander around the dance.
No, Fencing Angel, that's not a woman in blue behind him - that's his cloak!</font></p>
<p align="center"> </p>
<p align="center"><img border="0" src="http://swordsman.8k.com/prom/Kiss.jpg" width="246" height="360">
<font face="Arial">A little explanation may be in order here. At
after-after-prom, the six of us were just sitting around the living room.
The guy in the white tux from the above picture stole her camera, and would give
it back only if we would let him take a picture of us making out. A
direct quote: "Make out!" Me:
"What!?" Him: "Make out so I can take a
picture!" I was about to tell him no way when she grabbed my face and
gave me a (short) kiss. And yes, it was the only time she kissed me there;
it's not like we spent the whole time making out!</font></p>

| Swordsman! I won't tolerate you believing yourself to be unattractive! Because, after all, that notion is preposterous! (As I have told you many times by now! I thought at least SOME of my ramblings had sunk in, though it seems to not be the case.)
And actually, I'm quite a bit smaller than Swords. He's right. It's the four-inch heels.
