OQO palm top XP computer - take it to tounaments! Think of all the times you wanted a computer during tournaments. This little palm-top computer is great for traveling.
It's my stepson's, and he's been trying to sell it. We put it on ebay twice, and both times the winning bidders did not complete their transactions (one was a crook who had hijacked an account and one "changed her mind"). By the time we knew to ask the next-in-line bidders, they had already moved on.
Aargh.
So I wanted to offer it here for $800. If you'd like to make an offer, let me know and I'll pass it on to James. Or if you have any other questions.
It is pretty cool. I took it on a trip once, and it was great for web stuff. I wouldn't want to type 5 pages on it, but typing was much easier than I thought it would be.
We could bring it to Richmond to avoid shipping charges.
Here are the specs.
OQO Model 01
The OQO is a "palm-top" computer. The size is 4.9" x 3.4" x 0.9", and it weighs 14 ounces. But it's a full-powered PC! It has a 1GHz processor, 256MB RAM, and 20GB of space. It runs Windows XP Professional and has internal WiFi and Bluetooth. http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/4953/oqo4rd2.jpg http://img108.imageshack.us/img108/1...overalljw3.jpg http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/9...oscreener8.jpg http://www.windowsfordevices.com/fil...o_01tablet.jpg http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/7...batterykg3.jpg http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/4...sbottomdn3.jpg
The OQO has a nifty thumbboard, but you can also plug it into a full-size monitor and keyboard and use it as a desktop. Or you can use the included stylus directly on the screen. The docking cable comes with video out, audio out, USB, Firewire, and Ethernet ports. There's also a USB port on the OQO itself.
The item is an OQO Model 01 that I bought a year and a half ago. But I bought a new battery at the beginning of this year, so the battery is in good condition. It will come shipped with some cool applications. It works like new but has some scratches.
I am selling it because I bought a new laptop that I use all the time now.
I used my OQO for a variety of multimedia applications which are fully installed on this OQO.
Installed Software!!!!
• Microsoft Office XP Professional (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 (Advanced web coding environment)
• Macromedia Flash 8 (Animation creation)
• Macromedia Fireworks 8 (Image editing software)
• Adobe Photoshop CS2 + ImageReady (Advanced image editing software)
And A REALLY SWEET CASE (The case is awesome... It's padded inside to keep the screen safe.)
Condition of battery - Newer than the OQO - 9 months old
Condition of screen - There are scratches but none of them are visible when the screen is turned on.
Condition of casing - Other than the area around the screen, very minimal scratches.

I'm bringing the OQO to Richmond, so anyone who's curious can play with it. I'll be there Saturday and Sunday for Vet50 MF and Vet MF. (Look for James Loper's strips) We'll be there Friday evening, too.
Thanks,

Array That's more powerful than my desktop! o_O
How depressing.
What would it cost to ship to Canada (specifically: Manitoba)? The preceding post brought to you by Rabid Monk (TM). Rabid Monk: informative, irreverent, interesting, random and downright odd posts, done with pride since 1983. Similar Threads -
