University of Colorado at Boulder Fencing Club is looking for Coach
The CU Fencing Club, located in Boulder, Colorado is a student-run organization, operating as part of the Club Sports program at the University. The club has a history going back decades, and currently has about a dozen regular members, and number of less active ones.
We fence all three weapons, and are active on the local competition scene, with members competing at national individual tournaments for at least the last two seasons. We're looking to continue our involvement at the national intercollegiate level this year. We are a USFA member club, and host about five tournaments a year.
We're looking for a volunteer coach who can work with us in all three weapons. Preferably Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with Sundays optional. You'd receive access to the Student Rec Center and all of its amenities, and our undying gratitude. A small wage is also negotiable. (And on the off chance you want to relocate to take the position, I'm sure a number of our members could help smooth the process.)
Please send a description of your fencing history to
jessica.miltenberger@colorado.edu (which is not me).
(Before anyone askes, our previous head coach had to quit because he was moved to night shift; not because of any juicy drama. The other one is busy with his two very young daughters.)
