Charm City Challenge
December 2 and 3, 2006
Park School in Baltimore, Maryland
2425 Old Court Road, Baltimore MD 21208


Part of the Chesapeake Challenge Circuit, which includes the Kickoff Open and Cherry Blossom Open
Hosted by the Maryland Division of the USFA

Schedule of events:
Saturday, December 2, 2006
  • 9 AM EPEE: Separate Men's and Women's Epee if both events are a potential C-1 at the close of registration OR one Mixed Epee event if one of the events does not meet the potential C-1 rating.
  • 1 PM SABRE: Separate Men's and Women's Sabre if both events are a potential C-1 at the close of registration OR one Mixed Sabre event if one of the events does not meet the potential C-1 rating.
Sunday, December 3, 2006
  • 9:30 AM FOIL: Separate Men's and Women's Foil if both events are a potential C-1 at the close of registration OR one Mixed Foil event if one of the events does not meet the potential C-1 rating.
Prizes: Engraved medals for the top 3 finishers in each event (tie for third place) along with gift certificates from Triplette Competition Arms in the amounts of $100 for first place, $50 for second place, and $25 for each third place contestant. If the event is mixed, prizes will go to the top three finishers for each event, plus medals and gift certificates to the top three female fencers.

Registration: Pre-registration is available on ASKFRED.NET (http://askfred.net/Events/moreInfo.p...ament_id=2811). Pre-registration fees are $30 ($5.00 paid online and $25 at the door) or $50 for fencers who did not pre-register. Pre-Registration will end on Thursday, November 30.

By which I hope you mean that the top 3 (or 4) men divvy up one set of medals/prizes while the top 3 (4) women divvy up the other set... Otherwise the women would have double the chances... Wouldn't be fair...

Yes, that is what I meant. I'm sorry for not being clear. Could you do me a favor and try to encourage people from FAP and Bucks to pre-reg? I won't have a chance to do so myself. Thanks!

Part of that will depend upon who needs to fence Philly's Junior JO qualifiers, which are the same weekend, but fear not, there are forces up this-a-way that are already talking the event up.

Also I know several VA fencers will be coming up Balto way fro the event. Sadly I'm only going to be able to fencethe sabre as NIWFA xmas invitational is on Sunday. Given that you have to pay when you sign up I will probably sign up closer to the deadline
