Parents and fencer from California recognize me from the last handful of local/regional events they've been to over the course of last 3~4 weekends. So they come up to say hi, and that it's so good to see me come "all the way out here!"
I inform them that I live 5 miles from the venue.
When people from the opposite coast recognize you as a "Local" referee.
