Hey hey! This thread is about materialism! Sure, you can buy the books and wines, but the other stuff doesn't belong on this thread.

Well, there was this young blond epeeist changing down to his boxers on the side of the strip a few months back after open fencing. I wanted HIM. Till somebody told me just HOW young he was. I comforted myself with thoughts like, "Well, I traditionally don't like blonds anyway, so..."

I guess I'd settle for wanting something utilitarian. Like a few more body cords? Another epee would be welcome, but isn't strictly necessary. A lesson card would be the most welcome thing in the world right now.

A nice new fencing bag (shameless prod towards my thread in armoury :P). Also wouldn't mind a copy of Gears of War since I'm only 17 and can't buy it myself. Other than that, money, my collection of Ralph Lauren clothes needs to expand.
Sure, I have green and black fur and a fluffy tail, but what's more dangerous, your blunt sword or the chance I have rabies and I'm gonna bite ya.

The heart of a 12 year old...

I'll bet with me being a "small child" you all know what I want!
    -video games
    -money
    well... not everything
    -new booklight
-next book of Artemis Fowl (which I know is lurking in the house somewhere hidden to all but my parents),
    -Dave Barry books
I may be a lil tiny 12 year old but cool things come in small packages!

Sometimes... Well... at least I have fun!

    -a car, preferably a Jetta

    Any other suggestions?

I also want a winning lotto ticket!! (don't we all? )

More clothes and a new jacket would be nice too...

A new laptop that is not heavy, does not overheat and shutdown, and is quiet!

Lots of DVD's, CD's and manga...

A digital SLR camera with a number of different lens...

Realistically, I was thinking of buying myself 1-2 non-FIE electric foils and tape for the blades since the cloth tape's beginning to come off...but I *wish* I have an entire FIE set (FIE jacket and breeches, 3-4 FIE foils), extra body cords, my very own test/tool kit, a new lame, fencing socks, a new bag with wheels, and I always wanted to try electric sabre (so maybe all the electric gear required for sabre?), and much more that I cannot think of!!

What? No Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess? Don't you want to play that too? The trailers look awesome! Or are you planning on playing that on gamecube?

I've never been big on Zelda. Not that I don't like it, just never really played it. I might give it a go since I know my Nintendo-obsessed friend is planning to buy it. I tried Wii tennis and some other gamey things at a shopping centre and found it pretty hard to control. Maybe it's one of those acquired skills.

    ETA:
poker chips - clay. I won't settle for plastic.
a North Face fleece -- I'm partial to the Maud Pink and the Tangle Green, of course.
one of them fancy cameras with the dials and the huge lens and stuff.
    new running sneakers.
a lotta buncha foil gear. (This one is optional.)

Optional?! You can NEVER have enough foil gear

I think diamond blue looks better than tangle green but hey, that's my opinion

    Let's see... wish list:

a set of All-Star Startex kit, size scrawney.
a Leon Paul Comfort Fit mask
and wouldn't mind some funding to pour into building a nice gaming PC.
    Just because it's funny:

Yep, I'm a gadget freak. I would love to get one of these, though the odds of that are highly unlikely. *sigh*

Though, since wish lists aren't limited to practicality, I would also love:

    A motorcycle preferably an Indian

A laptop with a bigger hard drive and a power button

A better job, and last but not least

A kiss under the mistletoe with a certain someone... unlikely... though there's always that one in a million shot she'll come around, I guess...

I want far too many things year, and by that I dont mean items, I mean simple presences which can calm me. 2 Weeks off of school and I am hoping to get a Camping trip in sometime with my friends, just for the insanity of it!

Anyways, materialistically, I want to get:
Fencing Equipment (none right now, with this aquired I will be able to Fence with Shane every weekend)
    A few models (mega-nerd here)
A ton of C.D.s, moslty Classic Rock
A Sharks Jersey (go San Jose!)
and whatever else anyone wants to send me.
In my avatar, me on the right, Shane on the left, best of allies and enemies, how does that work?

First and formost I want my engagement ring from my boyfriend who also fences...maybe he'll think of something cool to do (prolly not)

I really want new fencing gear...
I also really want new bedding for my really comfortable feather bed...
I love victorias secret so anythign cool from their clothing line or other unmentionables are cool too...

The whole damned holiday season to be over with. I don't like all the feigned hapiness masking irritable people causing traffic and going balistic in malls because they are stressed out because of the need to procure material things to make themselves and others happy.

This Xmas I want to be in the middle of nowhere with my family relaxing away from the hipocracy that is the holidays and all the annoyances that come from the legion of shoppers in now one of the most meaningless and commercial days of the year.

That, and a nice new Lame, a Wii, and more bond marathons on TV....I'm human too. Just keep anything that isn't Connery or Brosnan off the air.....Moore is alright I suppose...but good lord no Dalton! That or any of the minor bonds fron the unofficial series...stick with the Eon stuff...except for that one Connery one....

What about Die Another Day's fencing scene? Even though it was blown out of proportion, I stilled enjoyed the fact that there was fencing in it!! I didn't enjoy the rest of the movie but I did enjoy the fencing scene...but that's my opinion :P
