| Cyrano,
Where are our new standings?
I think I might have improved.

| Hi Paolo
No worries... it took me working through BOTH 355 and your results before I noticed the uncanny similarity in scores
Anyway I thik there is a flaw in the system in that once someone takes a lead they are almost uncatchable (unless one of their fencers suddenly stops fencing (eg Golubitsky in foil). This is because the world ranking of the fencer is heavily weighted vs individual competition results. I think maybe we needed to award more points for good finnishes and also, to award points all the way down to top 32. Anyway we will withold final judgement until the conclusion of the game... |

| Yes, that is true. In some fantasy sports games, some people aggregate so many points early on that is nearly impossible for others to catch up. But, that's the price you pay for playing MEN'S EPEE FANTASY GAME... mwoo hoo hwa hwa hwaaa...

| Budapest results are up at this address.
Not for the unmotivated, they appear to be a FAX which has been converted to PDF.

| Hey Paolo
Thanks for that info.
Unfortunately I will have to wait for the official rankings to be updated as well so we will still be waiting for the FIE to get their act together.

Yep. Choosing Shong was a bad move for me... It seems like he's not competing that much and when he does, his results are really poor. Man!
I hope Denis does well in Paris, he usually does, so maybe I have a chance...

I care, but it looks like I'm never going to catch 355.

| Hey Paolo
Thanks for that I was beginnining to think people had stopped reading...
I was thinking, in order to make it a bit more interesting, at some point (say after the halfway mark) in the season, we should allow up to 2 substitutions. The catch being that the people you bring in may NOT have a world ranking higher than the ranking that the people you sub out had when originally selected.
What do you all think? |

| I'm still here too! Frankly I don't care if I loose or if I win, but I think this is a great way to keep track of what's going on on the circuit!
