Array What is the greatest horror movie? What is the greatest horror and thriller movie?
I like very much the 6th sence. The purpose of tactic is to conquer the enemy with proper war movements and actions.

Array Not the greatest, but I think one of the most underrated... The Exorcist III.

Array Any thing with Carrot Top in it. The only way to atone for being occasionally a little over-dressed is by being always absolutely over-educated. -Oscar Wilde -

Array I'm a fan of "Really Bad Cinema" so my vote would go to: Destroy all Monsters

Array I'm pretty torn on this one:
Pearl Harbour or Titanic? The jury is still out as far as I am concerned. -

I mean look at this dialog:
"Cristal Connors: I like nice t**s. I always have, how about you? Nomi Malone: I like having nice t**s.

One of the scariest moment in a theater for me: I was watching Hannibal (2001) with a few friends.
[for those who haven't seen the movie: SPOILER ALERT!]
Towards the end, when Lecter has gotten his hands on the two FBI agents (Moore and Liotta), fries up part of Liotta's brain and feeds it back to him. at that point, I took a casual look around at the audience, and much to my shock, most of them were actually LAUGHING at the scene.
Still scares me that people would find this funny under any circumstances... -

Array The Exocist of Emily Rose had me staying up all night for weeks I see the good times etched in your face. I see the good times, that were once in place. I see the bad times, lurking in your eyes. I see the bad times, through the shadows and lies. The mask you put on is easy to see. The mask you put on, is no match for me. -

Still scares me that people would find this funny under any circumstances... Few things to consider:
A) Some people deal with scary things in a lot of things. I know people who laugh uncontrollably when in high stress situations, it's just an outlet for energy.
B) Some things meant to be hokey can be extremely funny and everyone has a slightly different sense of humor, an example.
Spoilers....
In the movie Reign of Fire there's a large American man at the end of the film who decides to try and decapitate a dragon by jumping off a large building and lopping off its head. As the dragon flys at him he leaps into the air, grim music plays, and he flies through the destroyed remnants of a large city. The screen goes into slow motion, and he brings the axe over his head, then...the dragon eats him. Completely anticlimatic and it ruins the cliche. Things speed up. I wasn't expecting it.
I found it hilarious (with a few other people on the theatre) but the vast majority of the audience just looked at us funny.....
Afternote:
SoaP was a great movie...... -

I also understand your second point, and that may be what scared me... That the director actually may have tried to elicit just this reaction. A sad commentary on how jaded we have become... Similar Threads -
