Array If you're discussing which world/reality I find more interesting it'd probably be Star Wars, but which was a better executed movie, definitely LoTR. As for the books, I've read LoTR, but haven't read any of the Star Wars novelizations. I am impressed with the depth of imagination that Tolkien obviously had--all the background info. the indices at the end of Return of the King, quite a bit of which wasn't totally necessary to the story, blows me away. People claim I have a vivid imagination, but I could never come up with all that. However there are other fantasy novels and series that I like better. One cat leads to another--Ernest Hemingway.

LotR. Star Wars is just too weird. -
I havent read any of the books. On the subject of the movies, I have 2 possible responses to pick from.
1)I really liked lord of the rings.
2)Dont make me choose! We must walk consciously only part way toward our goal, and then leap in the dark to our success.

Array Star Wars. I have read LoTR, and I have read many, far too many Star WArs books which occur after the movies end. And I would have to say I enjoy the Star Wars books much more. Similar Threads -
