Array Where Am I going? Ok, for all of you who have asked, want to asked are asking where I am going....On the 23rd of September I am leaving Australia to take up a MSc position at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in the Field of Epidemiology. Its a year taught course masters so I'll be having a white and cold Christmas. Dont worry, I am taking a computer and I am DEFINATELY taking my fencing gear. When I get email etc sorted out I will let those of you who have my email know. Does this make everyone happy? Theses are evil....VERY evil, someone rescue me pls! -

Array It will do for now. But how will you run Arconia and keep that wiley king under control from such a distance? CAUTION: The heart is a fragile thing. Handle with care. -

Array So you will be gone for a year? Australia sounds wonderful. I would love to go there someday myself. "Wars may be fought with weapons, but they are won by men. It is the spirit of men who follow and of the man who leads that gains the victory." - George S. Patton -

Array Hze, I'm spending Christmas in the North of Scotland in Aberdeen, they ALWAYS get snow (besides Anne Marie has promised me!) Theses are evil....VERY evil, someone rescue me pls! -
Happy adventures Zelda....remember, if you ever get my way, we must cross blades!
Also, if you get a chance, try to sample the shortbread...that is if you like shortbread cookies, which I really do..... as well as my fencing mentor who came from Edinborough!!!(I think I spelled that incorrectly! I live to fence and fence to live!! -

Array Shadow where are you based again? Theses are evil....VERY evil, someone rescue me pls! -
Zelda,
Am based out of Albany, NY. Roughly 150 miles north of New York City! Hmmm, maybe I'll be fortunate to visit England. Will have to bring hubby along to video our bout in addition to carrying home the shortbread cookies!!!! I live to fence and fence to live!! -
Ah yes. Scotland, home of Shortbread, Tartan, Haggis, hairy red-heads (actually, that is me) and the Loch Ness monster.
Scotland has more to offer than this. For example, we have Irn Bru, bigotry and one of the highest rates of heart disease and cancer in the civilised world (largely due to overconsumption of haggis and shortbread). Enjoy your stay...
PS When in Aberdeen, watch out for the high
incidence of bestiality, and be sure not to
wear any wool. -

Array Ah, fair enough. Yup, if you are going that far north then you will definitly get snow. You made me think about it because when I showed my uni friends (from further south than me) my pictures of the snow at Christmas, they thought I'd just picked up the same snow and moved it about a lot. I wish I could think of something witty to write here. -
A Bridie is a meat pastry, although using the
word meat to describe the sundry bits of dead animal that find their way into this spicy delicacy is probably using a little poetic licence. It's quite similiar to a cornish pasty, if you know what that is. -
Cornish Pasties are addictive.
It's coming up to ONE month for Zelda!
Time flies and all that.
Steve.
