Metro Division

I apologize if this is in the wrong discussion area but you guys seem to be the experts on all things fencing.
Does anyone know when the Metro Division may post their schedule? I can't find anything on AskFred, etc. Don't they usually do tournaments in September?
This is my first thread so once again apologies if I did this incorrectly.

It sure is taking a while for them to put it up. I feel your frustration.

Forget putting the schedule up--there hasn't even been a meeting to make one yet.

We are only a week or so behind when we posted last season's schedule, so I am not sure what all the comotion is about. But I am happy that you are all so anxious to start competing again!

We don't generally have a meeting to set the tournament calendar. The process is that I send a tournament schedule spreadsheet to all of the clubs in the division, and they return it with their event info. This has already gone out, and I will post events as soon as I receive the information back.

The NYAC epee events will be posted this week: The first Mercury Cup epee event is schedule for late October. I am also happy to announce that we will be testing a saber Mercury Cup this season, involving three seperate point events (top two results count). The permanent inclusion of a saber MC will be decided at the end of the season based on several factors, turnout being the most important. Stay-tuned for more details.

I am waiting to hear back from the other clubs on the next division meeting date. It is tentatively going to be October 5th in the "Knights of the Bath" room on the 4th floor of the Athletic Club.

Best of luck this season. We look forward to seeing you at all Metropolitan Division events!!!

Cheers
-Jonathan
