What other activities do you do that aid in your fencing?

What other activities do you do that aid in your fencing?

Just wanted to get a general question out there. I was out wall climbing today for the first time in a few months and realized how well it helps build the muscles in the forearm and fingers. This, I've discovered really helps with my Epee since it is a heavier weapon and flicking around the bell guard is important for wrist touches.

So I just wanted to know what other sports or activities other people participate in which they find help aid them in fencing somehow?

Bicycling works the legs & overall aerobic stuff. And it usually gets me to fencing practice in a timely manner.

In my experience, chess is completely useless for fencing, despite the cliche'.

    Counter-Strike!

When I'm fencing, whenever I hit the other guy in the mask I yell "Boom headshot!". It scares the bejesus out of them... and then I win. Muahahhahaha.

Trail running (on some brutal steep trails). It helps a lot.
