| Going Back To The Blade Hello All;
Name's Fernando, back in high school and college I fenced on both varsity and individual competition. 'Brought' home the boro championships for the high school in '79, '80, '81, and coached in '82 - '83 after I graduated.
Have not touched the blade in quite a while, and I have to sit down and clean up the equipment that I have.
So, How's everybody! |

| A lot has changed since the good old days (touches for, not against; no more directors, we now have referees; new timings...), but you're going to have as much fun as ever. |

| Welcome! I too am recently returned after a layoff of near 30 years and I am having a blast. Some of the old-style techniques translate, others do not. Reflexes that were appropriate now must be tweaked. That, and being half-a-life older is making it a real challenge, but well worth the effort.
Cheers.

| Fernando,
Welcome back to fencing. I hope you enjoy it as much the second time around; lots of room for returning fencers around here.

So, How's everybody! | Welcome to the forum Elfen I hope that you will spend more time fencing and less time just sitting around making clean equipment come to pass but do not get me wrong clean equipment is very important as fencer.
